The Raven Cycle Playing Cards
This was a type specimen promotion using a single theme for content and copywriting. This project theme centered around the idea of having a deck of cards that you could interact with as you learn more about a book series.

Mission:
I was tasked to create a type specimen promotion for a typeface, using a topic of my choice as a vehicle for content. My "client" was the typeface. Instead of pages, I created a playable deck of cards using the typeface, Trajan.
Concept:
With this theme, I chose a typeface that would best compliment the hand-drawn illustrations and the rich, warm color palette that mirrored the overall book concepts. With Trajan, I felt like I could achieve my vision of having a work of art that both showed the use of the magic in the books but also showed the solidarity of the font.
